Past Events
Mum's the Word: Kings Theatre, 25th April 2008
This was attended by 10 members who thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Lots of laughter as well as a few tears!
It was a comedy about how children change your lives forever. There wasn't a lot of men in the audience (I wonder why!) as it would have given them an insight to the everyday life of a mother!!!
Easter Egg Hunt: Stubbington Park, 14th April 2008.
The rain held off for a couple of hours. We had 22 walkers aged 1 to 12 (Samuel
got dragged along again), plus pushchair entrants who got their chocolates for turning
up. Three dads also put in an appearance, nice to see them taking part! Tracy and
Kerry were outstanding in their impersonations of the Easter Bunny and helper!
The rain inevitably came in the afternoon, so the day was cut short with just a few
heading off to Monkey Bizness to wear off the suger rush from all the chocolate.
Quiz Night ~ 6th March 2008
Eight people attended this event, and believe it or not I think we're getting better,
this time we came 5th with a respectable 41 points and won a packet of cheese and
onion crisps!
Hazel's husband was texting his brother with some of the questions but still came
up with the wrong answers, can't even cheat properly!
10 Pin Bowling ~ 21st February 2008
Seven families attended the bowling, which was free to the members.
From the results it seems that there has been definite improvement from our last
bowling outing, well at least from the kids!

Christmas Party: Fareham Leisure Centre 2nd December 2007.
Fareham Leisure Centre again hosted the

Christmas party for the children, first up was
'pass the parcel' then we all headed down to the sports hall for some fun
on the bouncy castle, ball pits and soft play areas. Then it was back to the party
area for

some sandwiches, sausage rolls and Ice cream followed by a visit from Father Christmas.
Fund Raising Event ~ 24th November 2007
The mums and dads had a night to remember with a few wishing they could forget,
namely Paula, whose unfortunate demise in both the Darts and the Pool to Andrew
(to his later cost), could be contibuted to the amount of wine she consumed, which
became evident later when she won the wall bouncing event!!!
Darts winner ~ Andrew Stagg
Pool winner ~ Jack Wraithmell
Pub quiz winner ~ Andy Meachem
Pub quiz wooden spoon ~ Paul Claridge.
Thanks to Steph and Steve for a great night.
BBQ at Hundred Acres Wood ~ 19th August 2007
With the weather looking a bit unpredictable six families braved the conditions
and were rewarded with a rain free day with only a light drizzle as we were packing
up. Steve took control of the BBQ and did an incredible job cooking everything and
separating the meat from the veggie stuff.
The foam frisbees and the cricket were enjoyed by the children and the dads. Samuel
claimed victory in the cricket but shot of the day had to go to Andrew
with an irisistable pull shot for six from a juicy full toss from Samuel, we were
lucky to find the ball deep into the woods.
Picnic at Stanley Park ~ 24th July 2007
Luck was on our side this day with glorious sunshine. Four families turned out for
this event.
